#WWReborn Prompts

Need a prompt to get those creative juices flowing? Looking for new inspiration? Well look no further!

Welcome to the new home of Wednesday Words, originally started by P. T. Wyant, and continued on by her daughter of the heart after her unexpected passing in September of 2024, with a slightly new flare.

Rebranded as #WWReborn, or Wednesday Words Reborn, this weekly flash fiction challenge is less of a contest and more of an exercise. Each week I post a prompt that could be a single line, a photo, a group of things to include, a question, some weird news of the week, a theme, genre category, an idea, or quite literally anything my ADHD-addled mind can come up with.

The rules to the exercise are simple: There really aren’t any. How you write, where you write or share, and when you write for it are entirely up to you. My only contingency is because it’s flash fiction, you attempt to keep the story at a max of 500 words. Otherwise it’s not much of an exercise, right?

Below you’ll find a list of every #WWReborn blog post, complete with links and the category of that week’s prompt. If you share your flash somewhere, a ping back or shoutout would be appreciated. Use the hashtag #WWReborn across socials to help me garner interest.
